But time puts everything into perspective. Do keep this story somewhere and read it again when the boy is 21. I'm sure you'll get a laugh out of it.
My favourite story about Karen was when she wanted a plastic bag to carry a gift for someone she was meeting at lunchtime. You and I both had a supply and she took the first one we offered but then handed it back because it was from the Reject Shop. She wanted one from somewhere classier.Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03242088852964565802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468609239517567799.post-58843744138074007152012-07-14T23:02:08.236+10:002012-07-14T23:02:08.236+10:00I have had similar things happen - not the bit abo...I have had similar things happen - not the bit about taking the toy into work but a child losing a precious toy - and I do know how gut-wrenching it can feel at the time. Yes I've no doubt it's very funny for someone who it didn't happen to.... ;) And I can sort of see the funny side to it now that it's all over & has a happy ending.

Of course I remember Karen! One of my favourite stories of her is the time we went to Melbourne for that court case (I'm sure you haven't forgotten that) & we were wondering what would happen if the case ran to an extra day & I said we'd have to go into Target to get some extra undies. She looked horrified & said "Ladies, please. DJ's" (It's probably one of those 'you had to be there' moments, but it was really funny...)sleepydwarfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14087766890089552506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468609239517567799.post-56014402879644763742012-07-14T07:38:41.498+10:002012-07-14T07:38:41.498+10:00Oh I'm so glad you found her!

Sadly they're sometimes still there days or weeks later. I can't imagine why someone wouldn't come back for them.Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794655013673748992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468609239517567799.post-89293910963024954952012-07-14T01:41:29.950+10:002012-07-14T01:41:29.950+10:00What a lovely story Barb I am so happy it had a ha...What a lovely story Barb I am so happy it had a happy ending.Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12496136046077169439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468609239517567799.post-91574329421455182792012-07-13T23:28:25.923+10:002012-07-13T23:28:25.923+10:00I can imagine how you felt at the time but, I'...I can imagine how you felt at the time but, I'm sorry, I found your story absolutely hilarious. And can you imagine how someone like Karen S (do you remember her?) would have reacted to you taking a stuffed toy into a meeting with you. How times change and we move on.Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03242088852964565802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6468609239517567799.post-42873154149763667892012-07-13T21:36:49.239+10:002012-07-13T21:36:49.239+10:00lovely dol I think I can have them onelovely dol I think I can have them oneBudi Balihttp://www.ringbali.comnoreply@blogger.com
