sunday selections - sunflowers

Here is this week's post for frogpondsrock's Sunday Selections project.

Since so many people said they liked the sunflowers photos, here are some more.

Most of these were taken in 2008, with a couple more recent ones.

This is the vege garden with lots of sunflowers.  Look how tall the one
in the middle (that hasn't opened yet) is!

The next photos are the same sunflowers that you saw in this post a few days ago.

This is one of the little ones. It's a funny shape.

And finally a fairly intensely coloured Instagram edit.

  2. Ditto what River says and also the bottom one for that intense pattern in the centre. I love sunflowers, they're such happy flowers.

  3. I love love love sunflowers. I really need to plant some, because I just think they're so gorgeous. If I got giant ones, surely I could grow a giant sunflower privacy hedge along my front paddock?

  4. Sunflowers always bring a smile to my face. Especially if they have bees on them ;-)

  7. Wow - I've never seen orange sunflowers! They're really lovely!

The picture I like the best is the second one simply labelled 'January 2008', a yellow one. I love the angle, and the brightness of the blue sky behind it!

Hi! I know you hate having to type in the words as much as I do, but I am being furiously spammed, so I've had to reactivate that feature. If you're a real person I'd love to hear from you :-)
