This is the first time costumes have been required. I've been dreading dress-up days, because I'm not much of a 'crafty mama' type. The thought of having to come up with something that looks a little bit like what my boy is supposed to dress up as from scratch terrifies me. My mother used to come up with some brilliant costumes. There's a lot to live up to.
Fortunately, Juniordwarf got a pirate dress-up outfit for Xmas, so this time it was pretty easy. All I had to do was make an eyepatch. Phew! Slabs designed the excellent scar and bingo! We had a junior pirate.
Juniordwarf loved being a pirate. The funniest thing was when he pushed his eyepatch up on his forehead and said when it was like that he was Juniordwarf, and when it was on his eye he was a pirate.
We'll just have to see how we go next time they have dress-up day and we don't have the instant costume. I suspect I'm going to learn to be a crafty mama pretty quickly.

Hi! I know you hate having to type in the words as much as I do, but I am being furiously spammed, so I've had to reactivate that feature. If you're a real person I'd love to hear from you :-)
